I'm glad I was never a big fan of this series. I imagine watching it being taken apart the way it has hurts people who are. But come one man, it's Disney. Did anyone really expect they would do the right thing? Everything they get their hands on goes to sh*t. They even managed to screw up the Beatles, getting Peter Jackson to take the money and turn what was going to be a two-hour make over of the Let it Be movie that had fans all over the world salivating into an 8-hour snooze fest that took a bunch of material Jackson was going to leave in the can and slapped it in to fill air space. I know one guy who tried to watch it but tuned out after the second episode because it sucked that bad. At least as a trekie I knew when to get off the Starship Enterprise. As for people who still go to Star War movies, may the farce be with you.
