I always wondered why it was that a civilization advanced enough to leap frog through the galaxy, overcoming the laws of time, space, and acceleration had attack ships that folded like the Orcs at the gates of Mordor when the mother ship was blown up. And how such an advanced civilization was able to be duped by two guys who hid from them by rolling up the tinted windows in a ship they owned. But, as The Drinker points out, the interplay between Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum is cool and I love that bit where the dog leaps through the air just before everything behind him gets blown to shit. I always found the premise to be way over the top but hey, I like Armageddon even though it has fire in zero oxygen environments and an asteroid the size of Texas flying in at 45,000 MPH+ that Bruce Willis is able to blow up with a single baby nuke. He's right, sometimes you just gotta say fuck the science and enjoy the ride. Great review!
