  1. I'll watch this one when I'm able. My dad liked the 1930 version and I bought it for him as a gift. I preferred the 1979 remake with Richard Thomas and Ernest Borgnine. I think it was panned because it was a made for TV movie but I thought it was better than the original. I'd like to see you review "When Trumpets Fade" some time Drinker. It's an HBO movie that didn't get much attention because it came out as the same time as Saving Private Ryan but it's a good somewhat off-key war movie with a good storyline.
