  1. I dunno, maybe I'm in the minority but I found this movie to be pretentious at times and obtuse when it wasn't being pretentious. The plot was flat, the ending was ridiculous, and outside of Anaya Taylor Joy's performance I thought the rest of the cast was just as stiff and dull as the movie. She really does deserve better scripts than this and that Northmen movie or whatever that bore-fest was called. I thought the Menu, to be fair, sucked. But that's me. Maybe I'm just one of those dimwitted unwashed masses types who just doesn't get it. I'm also one of those who thought Christopher Nolan did a half-ass job with Dunkirk because he was more interested in making a Christopher Nolan movie than telling a story. That movie actually came to mind as I watched this one. But like I say, I imagine I'm in the minority.
