  1. I think it's a symptom, or byproduct, of a larger problem, the death of discernment and critical thinking. They aren't stressed in our education systems they way they once were so why should we expect them to appear in the marketplace? People have gotten lazy at the creative and the consumer end of the spectrum. I imagine there are a lot of great ideas dying on the vine because studios are too risk averse. I like some of the indie stuff but most don't have the resources to make a real blockbuster. So here's to Ghostbusters XX and Indiana Jones versus Batman.
