The hard left, which has a hold of the party, isn't interested in winning at this stage. If they were they would have adjusted their policies. They just want to get as much lunacy in as they can in the time they have. They will wait out a republican majority because they know the vast majority of republicans are weak and will not undo any of their insanity and when they get the power back in few years it will be full steam ahead. Rinse, wash, repeat. The squishes proved the dems right when they failed to repeal Obama care. If a few have to fall on the sword, so be it. That is the game in 21st Century. Get used to it because it's going to get worse.
