  4. You've got it right where term limits are concerned but that only addresses part of that problem. How many of the professional grifters will simply move from elected office to corporate board rooms? You touched on the biggest problem which is the unelected fourth branch of government. Most of the laws that affect people on a day-to-day basis come down to us in the form of regulations and emergency edicts from alphabet soup agencies in DC. Take a look at the books that govern daily life if you want a peek at the problem but pack a real big lunch because there are thousands of pages. These bureaucrats are entrenched like tics and they aren't going anywhere. I used to deal with GS 15's and above and they act with impunity because they feel untouchable. Congress abdicated most of their power to the Executive during the Great Depression and FDR set about creating agencies and programs and farming the work of governing out accordingly. People became convinced they needed the bureaucratic state and it just kept growing. And these agencies don't go away. As President Reagan said, the closest thing to eternal life in this world is a government program. As for the other stuff, you really should be more responsible when it comes to the JFK conspiracy nonsense and Nixon was hardly a victim. But yes, Clinton's offenses didn't reach impeachment level and it set a bad precedent that came back to haunt republicans later on. And no, I'm not a Clinton supporter and I am no fan of the democrat party. Who has cheapened the office? We have, by not taking our responsibilities as citizens seriously. I agree we should vote for people of high morality who believe in God and His will but unfortunately there ain't a lot of them fellers floatin around the Potomac swamp these days. We're way past political solutions anyway. We are under Romans 1 level judgment. That's what happens when you tell God to take a hike. We all need to start by repairing our relationship with Christ and working it out from there. That's my take on it anyway. Happy Easter.
