Dave Rubin may be sincere and I believe his conversion to be genuine based on the fact that he has stayed the course, but Maher doesn't evoke the same sort of response from me. He made a career out of mocking people of faith and spreading flat out falsehoods when it suited his purposes, which were his ratings. Maybe all the craziness finally got to him or maybe he just wants them to cool their jets just enough to stay in power. I don't know. But his claim that he is now a hero at Fox doesn't move the needle for me. Lot's of folks are popular at Fox who quite frankly I wouldn't give the time of day to. Does anyone think Karl Rove is a conservative? I don't watch Fox or any major news outlet so maybe I'm the wrong guy to play that card. But I will say this, if you are counting on Bill Maher to have some sort of "Road to Damascus" moment count on waiting a long, long, long, time.
