  1. Brandon. Your premise is valid, but the larger question is; how can one be reasonable with someone who is not? As long as one side is starting from an emotional rather than a logical position it can be difficult to have the type of conversation we need to have. I wish it wasn't so, but unfortunately it is and until we learn to set aside emotion and deal with the world as it is the type of dialogue you are urging isn't going to occur.

  2. You hit upon a great point Brandon about praying for those who hate you. I struggle with that because I sometimes get caught up in the troubles in this world. But I do try. I'm not the best Christian but I believe 100% in the redemptive power of our Savior and that sustains me. I pray for the non-believer because I want him or her to find the same comfort. I do my best not to judge but if others judge me for my beliefs there is noting I can do about it. As you say, the only power others have over you is that which you give them. Powerful testimony on your part. Thanks for sharing.
