Of course the cost is going to increase. Scope creep is a given, but when you couple that with the ludicrous inflation you get when you print trillion of dollars because you think the real world is just like the Monopoly game; what do you expect? This moon-doggle shows just how much we have regressed at all levels. With the debt headed toward 40 trillion, with a T, we ain't goin nowhere, except out to the fields to scrounge for food like the white collar workers in Venezuela were forced by the government to do a couple years back. Ya can't have, whatever system of government it is we have right now, and get some big vanity project off the ground. No problem. The planet is going to be covered in so much space debris in a few years the whole point will be moot. Yeah, we have done a bang-up job since the 60s. Way to go team.
