  1. So, one of the themes that seems to run through the thoughts of these third way types as they call themselves is freedom is fine as long as it is subordinated to the needs of the state. Tranny's and the like exercising their rights are given as examples of individual rights harming the rights of the collective. Fair enough. But the alternative they are pitching certainly isn't any better. I see the way they flip the argument where individual liberty and free-market capitalism is concerned, and yes, I will concede that transgenderism as well as a host of other social contagions are harmful to society and shredding the social compact. But submitting your individual liberty to the state is hardly the answer. It has an Orwellian flavor to it, slavery is freedom, that sort of thing. One thing is certain, history has shown the application of their ideology is just as deadly as the application of communism and capitalism, for all its flaws, has freed more people and saved more lives than those other failed systems. That's just a fact, and facts as John Adams famously said: "Are stubborn things."

  2. I'm pretty sure if you asked that woman about her ideology she would say something along the lines of: "Well, as you know, ideology is important to me. We all have ideas, and ideas are important because after all that is where ideas come from. I remember the commercial when I was a middle class kid that talked about the mind being a terrible thing and how it must be stopped in our lifetime and that is why I'm running for president."
