  1. Interesting video. But I disagree with that scenario where the U.S. would get involved in a war against the Soviet Union. FDR did not have anti-communist views and a lot of his advisors had gone to the USSR in the 1920s and got roped in by Stalin's magical mystery tour of the socialist utopia. There was no reason FDR could have given the American people to go to war at that stage to fight communism. It is true though that Hitler saw Britain almost as a blood relation and wanted to work out some sort of arrangement with them but Churchill and others who saw him for the thug he was stood in the way of that.
