  1. I went from a parochial school to a public school in the 7th grade and I was floored when I opened the first textbook I was given. It was literally filled with stuff I had learned in the 3rd and 4th grade. I grew bored pretty quickly when I figured out I could get any grade I wanted anytime I wanted. I didn't start doing work beyond what I had done in seven years of private schooling until I got to the 10th grade, and even then, if you simply showed up you got a passing grade. That was 50 years ago. I can only imagine how big the drop off is now. The elite as Dr. Sowell calls them are burrowed in like tics. Just like the schools that produce them, they are corrupted to their core. I'm not saying everyone who attends Harvard or any other top-flight university is corrupted by the experience, but the recent wave of rioting and harassment of Jewish students in support of terrorists on their campuses, and the faculties willingness to either promote it or look the other way shows how dark these places, which ironically were mostly founded by Christian churches and organizations have become. It's funny in a non-comical way how the rich donors are suddenly pulling money out of these places. I don't think it's because they are necessarily against the aims of these maniacs, it's just that they have become so over-the-top in their promotion of evil that the rich folks who have been funding them for all these years don't want to be called names. But hey, it's all in the name of progress...right? “The modern age is built on the Myth of Progress…Believers in the Myth of Progress hold that progress is better than the past, and the future will inevitably be better than the present. This myth is a powerful tool in the hands of would-be totalitarians. It provides a transcendent source of legitimacy for their actions and frames opposition as backward and ignorant…Thus does the Myth of Progress become a justification for exercising dictatorial power” ― Rob Dreher: Live Not by Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents
