  1. Of course the evil queen of the Ozarks whose name shall not be uttered here is in favor of more laws because the end result of more laws is more power for the people pushing for said laws. The public education system in the U.S. has been characterized as Satan's youth ministry and there is a lot of truth to that. Unions, be they private or public sector aren't interested in the quality of the product their workforce produces. Do you think the UAW gives a damn about how well an individual Cadillac functions? Teachers unions are the bane of the American education system. But at the end of the day the problem is always in the home. It's not whitey. It's not the ubiquitous aftereffects of slavery. It's the breakdown of the family, and it's not race restrictive. The extended family lost it's steadying influence when the industrial revolution moved people off the farms and into the cities. The nuclear family is losing its influence as the digital revolution moves people out of the real-world and into a virtual-reality. All of the institutions that were the lynchpin of a successful democratic republic are being swept away. And it's not just the march of history. It's calculated and there is an end-game progressives have been working toward for a very long time. We are entering that end-game, a state of chaos that requires a strong-hand to deal with it. People always trade liberty for security, and as Benjamin Franklin pointed out, those who make that trade end up with neither. How bad does bad have to get? That is the question. "I heard a loud voice speaking from the temple to the seven angels, 'Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s fury upon the earth.”' ― Revelation 16: 1
