  1. How do you convince a group to stand up for their rights when so many of them aren't even sure where those rights come from? I wish I shared the optimism expressed here. I used to, but as time goes on my faith in people to fight for what is right and against what is wrong becomes weaker. How did George Carlin put it, within every cynic beats the heart of a disillusioned optimist? Again, I wish it wasn't so.

  2.  @BearfootBob  You're right. George got mean later in life. I see it with people I know as well. It's a path I am fighting hard to stay clear of but as I said in my post, it's a challenge.
