So let me get this straight, he calls Berkman and Goldman's bloodthirsty, willingness to cut throats for their beliefs virtuous and claims we shouldn't have any protection against people who are bloodthirsty and willing to cut throats. There are so many contradictions in his arguments that you could go crazy trying to follow such circular logic. It's the old Rousseau notion of the noble savage who, if left to his own devices, would act rationally. His reasoning is based on an improper foundation. We aren't noble and we do have a fallen nature. History has borne that out time, and time again. As the old adage goes if men were angels we wouldn't need government. You know what this guy needs? He needs to spend some time in the neighborhood I grew up in. These lily white-bread over-educated utopian dreamers live in the worst kind of world, the world of how I want it to be, as opposed to the world of the way things are. As Richard Pryor put it after visiting with the oppressed brothers locked up in prison in an attempt to show solidarity with them: "Thank God we have penitentiary's."
