  1. I like listening to Jordan Peterson from time-to-time but he has this habit of going off on a stream of consciousness and this causes him to stray from answering the question. This is one of those times. There are plenty of problems with the conservative movement, the most pressing being; what are we trying to conserve? Does anyone want to conserve the system as it is today? There was a time when the system was under threat but those days are past. The system has been taken over by a minority with people strategically placed to control messaging and the regulation of society at the street level. I have no desire to conserve any of that. The roles have been flipped. The left wants to maintain the status quo and the best way to do that is to accumulate more power. They have become "the man" for all practical purposes. So where does that leave the conservative movement? It's dead. The thought leaders are more charlatan's than anything else. Selling books, getting clicks, and owning the libs to increase traffic to their site is all the rage these days. At the legislative level, conservative leaders make a lot of noise but produce zero results. Congressional hearings and investigations don't mean a damn thing if nobody is truly held accountable. The Tea Party candidates put the dagger in the movement with all their promises of repealing obama care and 1000 other things they said they would do. Then, when they were in a position to do what they promised...nothing. That showed the conservative voters where they stood and cynicism took hold quickly. It's all tribalism now. Name calling from the right in response to storm troopers on the left. Squishy republicans are afraid to wield power and they hate leading anyway. The left is emboldened because they have no real opposition. They put drag queens in your kids schools and raid homes of Christians for protesting at abortion clinics while those who throw bombs at churches roam free. antifa and blm thugs burn cities with impunity. Why do conservatives lose? Because the movement is dead. Based on what's happened the past few years, I wonder if the it ever really existed, at least after George the first took the White House. Want some free advice? Trust in God. Not the God of Jung or Nietzsche, the actual Lord of Creation. Do with it what you will.
