I like listening to Jordan because he's a smart guy but in matters of faith his need to stay within the framework of his training causes him to dance around the idea of God. Christ didn't tell people to orient themselves to the good, something like an alliance with God. He told them in no uncertain terms to put God first and do God's will. Like I say, I like Jordan, but he has a habit of making assertions about God from an almost agnostic point of view. I hear him refer to Nietzsche and Jung more than scripture when he's talking about God. He has stated that he has become a believer and I take him at his word. But he tries to explain God and His motives within a worldly, primarily psychological framework, to the point where God almost becomes a construct. Like I say, I enjoy listening to Jordan because I like the way he thinks and he gives good advice on how to be a good citizen and live a fruitful, productive life, but I wouldn't recommend turning to him if you want to learn about God.
