  1. Maybe we can't meet our cosmic cousins for a reason. Maybe the separation is intentional. Or maybe it just us. I dunno, and anyone who says they do is either engaging in speculation or just a flat-out lie. I think the odds it is just us in a universe as vast as ours are awfully slim but until I have a conversation with ET color me skeptical and call me Irish. Just don't expect me to get all gushy if some probe finds some microbe floating around in some primordial puddle on some Jovian moon. And don't expect me to call it cuz.
