And dont forget the climate change agenda.

Thats one of the reasons, here in EU as well. But the other reason is because they quit many during the Corona "crisis" and they are not planing to take them back because as we know there is another agenda which we forgot somehow "climate change" so stay at home is not only the message for Corona.

The retired will tell you that story but airlines quit many services/workers during the past 2 years. Now they dont want to hire them back as they know, Corona is coming and climate change is still on the agenda, meaning flying less, carbon foot print etc

@davidconnellan6875 they will have profits flying those who can pay much more with less planes. The goal is to limit flights, remember? Climate change is still on the agenda

@slickrick8046 i am not talking about pilots. The main reason why we have a chaos in EU is not because we miss pilots but because we moss the service provider. In Germany they are calling for a help from Turkey.. Imagine that..

@realtalk6195 imagine that means, didnt Germany just welcomed millions of new citizens which are still not working. You dont need experts for these jobs.

@slickrick8046 quote "Service staff and flight attendants are missing. According to the information, the area of service specialists in air traffic, including flight attendants, is particularly affected. The number of employees here fell by 15 percent from the pre-crisis period of 2018/2019 to 2020/2021, despite short-time work. The number of so-called skilled workers in technical air traffic operations, which includes aircraft handlers, for example, fell by 12.9 percent over the same period."

@meljohnston-stock5480 "Many skilled workers found new jobs The situation is better for the pilots, where the number of employees fell by only 1.5 percent. According to the study, their knowledge can hardly be transferred to other fields of work. Specialists in customer service and logistics, on the other hand, would have had comparatively good chances of finding a new job, for example in train traffic or in online trade, which is booming due to the pandemic."
