Dear Robinson Erhardt, a wonderful meeting with an honest and realistic guest. He suggested hosting important names to build cultural, political, economic and philosophical bridges with the Arab world, and they are:
1. Dr. Joseph Massad: To talk about writing about Islam in Liberalism.
2. Imam Tom Facchine: To talk about what Orientalism is and its impact on the formation of the wrong stereotype about Arabs, Muslims, and the peoples of the East in general. How do Dr. Mazen Mutabaqani, Dr. Ali Al-Namlah, Dr. Edward Said, Dr. Wael Hallaq, and Dr. Joseph Massad view Orientalism? From different angles, they are among its most famous critics, Arab Christians and Muslims.
3. D. Mohammed Maraqten to talk about the reason for the absence of studies of Arab civilizations in Western academies compared to Egyptian civilization, and to talk about Arab civilizations, the history of the Arabic language, the beginnings of the alphabet, Arabic writings, and the type of relationship between the peoples of the Middle East with each other before and after the birth of Christ.
4. Political commentator Salman Al-Ansari: To talk about the causes of conflicts and problems in the Middle East (Yemen - Libya - Palestine - Iraq - Syria) and the involvement of America, Russia, France, Turkey, Iran and Israel in creating and fueling these ongoing and permanent conflicts.
5. The Muslim Lantern: It asks about existential and important questions such as what is the evidence for the existence of a Creator, how do Muslims test that their religion is true, how do you prove that the Qur’an is the word of the Creator, how do you test the prophecy of the Prophet Muhammad, why do Islamic values and morals not change, what happens after death, etc.
6. Ibn Taymiyyah’s views on logic and philosophy and his criticism of Aristotle’s logic. (Many Arab academics classify him as one of the greatest philosophers in Islamic civilization)
7. Dr. Wael Hallaq: To talk about the reasons for his criticism of secularism, modernity, and liberalism,
He understood how Islamic law was formed and developed, and he has distinguished books on that on Amazon.
There are many distinguished guests that I do not see on the YouTube podcast, but I believe that these are five diverse cultural, intellectual, religious, historical, and political topics that will help in understanding the Arab world more clearly.
