Have we already forgotten that CrowdStrike grounded planes and brought modern civilization to a halt for a few hours? Imagine if everyone's car couldn't be started on that day.. oh what fun that would have been! 😅

"it's android based but it's all our code" That's like saying "it's got an AMD CPU but it's all our hardware" I wonder what moisturizer he uses, his skin is absolutely glowing!

28 years ago was the era of 14.4k baud modems, cd-roms were connected through soundcards and this new OS called Windows 95 had just been released. There were no cell phones nor the concept of "devices" or "network engineers" It would also make you at least 40 years old today and old enough to not be so gullible or make up fake stories. What would having access to the source code do? Fork and compile their own version of win95 with the same undiscovered vulnerabilities as that is safer? 😂

It's the equivalent of trying to drive with the park brake engaged. It doesn't happen for hundreds of km's by accident and at the same time the tracking system just happens to malfunction. Just as the gas pipeline wasn't blown up by some drunken Ukrainians on a yacht. The entire globe is constantly monitored by satellites, the US military will be able to determine exactly where that ship was at all times.

Quickest way to deal with "i have nothing to hide" people is to ask them for their credit card details and/or email password etc.

The sweetest honey in a pot that money can't buy...

Cisco R&D has responded with: No fault found, user error.. Close the ticket and ship the device back to the customer please 😂

@YoungBasedChefBeezy correct, it wasn't until around 97-98 that the first commercially viable cell phones began to emerge.. and even then coverage was very limited due to the lack of cell towers. I know you kids think you can just google something and act as though you know what you're talking about.. but ask your parents what their first cell phone was. For 95% of people it would be a Nokia in the late 90's or early 00's. It was a different world back then, win95 came on floppy disks ffs.

@Bossanova. I heard your mom already holds the patent such a color
18
@AcidGubba yes, the repair happens on deck. They typically have to use the boat to drag the one end of the broken cable over to the other end to reattach. Would be near impossible for a submersible to do that.

*gasp* Google lied to us? Let me tell you, I am shocked! Shocked!! Well not really... 😛

November 2022 (Techryptic's videos) is before August 2023 (ecto1a/AppleJuice created following defcon 31) correct? I don't have a calendar handy atm but i'm pretty it's a factor of several months.. maybe someone could confirm, just for full transparency sake?

@dubfather521 liberty == freedom, they are essentially synonymous. When you say "they should keep out of crypto" are you talking about the ppl spreading CP or the ppl trying to catch them? You can't have it both ways, either everyone (including the spreaders of CP and the feds themselves) are protected and safe or no one is. You might think differently if your crypto was stolen or child abducted in the name of liberty and freedom for all.
9
@Ecto1A where is your evidence of this prior to November 2022? Lay out the timeline for me like i am 5 years old..
9
Has to be one extreme or the other. There is no in between. Same with speech maximum sarcasm or super serious 😂

And no native way to quickly and easily open/convert that CR to CRLF text file.

Sounds as though this IT guy is a manager. Managers don't need to know the gory technical details to be an effective manager - their job is to manage the people who do. They also will sometimes make decisions or give directions which aren't in line with what would be best from a technical standpoint, because sometimes that isn't what is important to the business or company - for example installing the worlds most secure vending machine into the staff lunchroom would be overkill if the business requirement is to simply implement "free drinks and snacks for staff" with controls in place to discourage abuse by staff (such as a junior staffer taking 12 cans of Coke home at the end of their shift every day). Perhaps you don't need to prevent such a situation but merely be alerted or be able to detect it should it happen - worst case scenario. But i digress as none of this is why i'm even typing a comment in the first place. What i really want to know is this... What is this "negative energy" that you speak of? Are we talking like hippie aura healing crystals vibe or frizzled hair static electricity zaps when you get close vibe? Genuine question as it's not often to see such a statement on a channel like this.. you have piqued my curiosity and my undivided attention should you care to answer. No hate, i promise 🥰

Is this racism in the house with you right now?
7
Do you hear that? It's getting louder.. thud thud thud... and closer.. cha cha cha cha cha.. OMG ITS A HELICOPTER PARENT GET DOWN GET DOWN!!!
7
@hanelyp1 only if you were to then compile that source code yourself, which is then a fork the military would have to continue to update and patch themselves.. thus defeating the whole purpose of using an off-the-shelf product in the first place. If they didn't then what is stopping MS from shoehorning in a backdoor in an update? Think it through... fully.
7
I didn't until a friend of mine setup her 6 yr old with a messenger kids account. There is something very special about being able to communicate online with someone special to you who barely knows the alphabet let alone type full coherent sentences. I'm by no means saying meta is a harmless platform, but i don't think the solution is to simply keep kids off the internet.. i compare it to opinions on violent video games or movies 20 years ago. "I dont understand how parents just give their kids a computer to play quake" Imagine being a kid today without access to a computer or phone because your parents are "good parents" and not letting you have one until you are 13 🤔
6
@Bossanova. Not offended at all, geez for someone who dishes out crass jokes you sure don't know how to take it eh? Unlike your mom 😯

The location of the printer and ashtray tells another story...

Sadly if you've ever used plugins to dl youtube vids before they started preventing them in chrome you'll know they have the upper hand.. prepare yourself for 3 unskipable ads.. then 4... it's coming.

SELinux perhaps? But i too am curious...

Not only is Kenny my fav glowie but his audience and comment sections are filled with some of the funniest informants known to 3 letter agencies alive! As per usual this one did not disappoint 😂
5
What an unfortunate autocorrect that changed "main stream media" into "deepfake porn" Dw typos happen to the best of us, even the saints over at the FBI... 😛

@LaughingMan44 autists do better in the office too, as much as you hate collaboration the iPhone wasn't made by one guy...

Russell Brand, Alex Jones, Donald Trump and Canadian truckers joined the chat...

@rb2530 What device did you use to terminate that ISDN line with 24 channels of 64kbit? You know how much they cost right? The mere suggestion you had one at "home" is laughable unless you were running a BBS or similar, at which point framing it as though you had your own dedicated T1 is being disingenuous and intentionally dishonest. There was no such thing as a "network engineer" as back then the industry was not big enough to have differing disciplines such as network, systems etc. I look forward to talking shop with you when you reply with the equipment you totally had...
4
@justarandomname420 yet another misconception from tv/movies - i know what you are referring to but that was never something home users had. 14.4k baud modems plugged straight into the phone line with a regular cord. Prior to win95 in order to connect to the internet you had to install something called Trumpet Winsock as win 3.11 itself did not have ppp or tcp/ip built in. It also wasn't until win98 that "internet connection sharing" became a thing included in the OS. It also didn't work seamlessly either, you couldn't use FTP for example because of how the command/data ports were separated. It was a pretty notable limitation given that was the predominant way to get "warez" back then.. or DCC via IRC 😀 If you know you know...

Yeah your teeth are absolutely glowing...

AI is to machine learning, as Cloud is to virtual machine clustering. One is marketing speak, the other is technical speak.
3
@Bossanova. Well she has a paying job unlike yours, jealous much?
3
@Bossanova. Who uses google these days? You should have given up 3 bad jokes ago, Mr copypasta. At least your mom knows when to give it up... every night for free! You've been waiting your whole life to use this one joke haven't you? I can tell by the amount of times you've pasted it on this channel alone 😂
3
"Porn can be a weapon" "i forget" You watch too many movies and tv shows if you truly believe this.
3
@rars0n oh and on the cell phone side, your parents must be extremely wealthy if your father forked out $4000 (not adjusted for inflation) for such a phone. You are the 5% congratulations on bragging about your families immense wealth without even realising it! Or maybe that was what you wanted all along. Either way, the rest of us regular non-wealthy peasants (the 95% of the population at the time) got our hands on cell phones when they finally cost less than an entire car in the late 90's or early 00's.
3
@dertythegrower *hugs* Looks like you need more hugs 🪴

@Angie2343 i dunno B what kind of name is Q or V? Y U asking? Seems like a W not a L to me. Anyhoo I gotta catch me some Z's. Take care K? Luv ya XOX 😘

I have no issues with Musk attempting to create competition for the US as the world's reserve currency. Something needs to change as the US government can't keep printing money as a solution forever. Going from from 15 trillion in debt to 30 trillion in less than a decade is far more concerning. Moving to Mars gets more and more appealing with every new war or conflict the US gets involved in... ..if you can't beat em, leave em for Mars! 😁

For ppl with ADHD the features can help.. in particular keeping track of how long you've been brushing and which teeth etc. Obviously no need for internet connectivity or even an app, but i'd say the first we'll hear of them being used for sinister purposes won't be taking control of the devices so ppls teeth or gums decay over time.. but rather as surveillance for another crime. Knowing what time each day and how long someone brushes their teeth is valuable data which you can extrapolate other information like when they go to bed/work etc. Valuable not just for criminals or foreign actors either, domestic government agencies like the FBI, CIA will almost certainly be making legal warrant requests to obtain this data for investigations in the near future if not already. Your honor as shown by evidence article 3b, Kenny returned home by 9:54pm at the latest and brushed his teeth for 3 minutes and 26 secs.
2
@peterson6824 your analogy makes no sense. If XMR is a key to a dam what is water? Who are the farmers? What are the crops? The governments role? Who is perishing? Warning for what, using a key? What is the desired landscape or utopia? Have you forgotten something, your medication perhaps?
2
@dubfather521 fair enough, whilst i vehemently disagree with you, I respect you taking a stance and making it clear. It's a commendable trait rarely seen these days 👍 Don't get me wrong, i think privacy and crypto are good things and certainly don't think the government should have backdoors into these systems or shut them down, but i'm okay with them putting the extraordinary effort and resources into catching pdf files - to me that hurdle is the saving grace, it's really only feasible to catch the most wanted criminals ✌️
2
Don't be fooled kids. Being in the office at least a few days will give you huge benefits. Knowledge through absorption and experience is far quicker n better in-person. If you want to be successful long term and promoted go into the office. And have a shower before you do. Yeah you heard me.
2
WONT SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE AI!! Those poor, poor AI, who is going to protect them from this abuse? We need a AI trust and safety team immediately... oh wait 😮
2
@Bossanova. If you're checking into youtube my response to you is "this is a wendy's sir"
2
@rumfordc didnt say any did, but believing it can be is something only a person who watched too much fiction would believe
2
@salted_lizard as reported 2 decades later by the same people currently in conflict with the same enemy. Wow.
2
@rumfordc it makes perfect sense to anyone not on the spectrum
2
@LaughingMan44 Sitting alone, at home, day in, day out, with food that's gone cold because you forgot about it, for the second time today... is not healthy nor "living the dream" Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
