@alessandrogiovannone3742 he doesnt even know what he means - he took a very simplified explanation of DNA and butchered it to try n sound witty.. but in doing so he just exposed himself as having very little knowledge of biology/science. Anyone that has completed high-school level biology will scoff at several things he states. We are not 99.9% the same by any scientific measurement - he literally lies in a talk about racism being a lie.

@alexandertaylor7316 overwhelming scientific evidence? Please provide a valid source of information indicating your BS.

That's what she kept telling herself, while holding back the tears and waiting for it to be over.

@TaylorTheOtter referring to "whiteness" and "blackness" and "asian-ness" as sociological races is an even worse interpretation - black is not a race, its a physical attribute. Bundling entirely different groups of people together, eg Korean and Japanese, based on some geographic origin or similarity and treating them as being the same is racism - quite literally! It seems TED talks are now mostly awful presentations by poorly educated people sprucing terrible ideas or just outright lies/misleading information - there used to be a time when they actually lived up to their slogan "ideas worth sharing". Such a shame :(

@johnetro8806 where's the rage exactly? where is the strawman? I think you should heed your own barely coherent words and listen (or well read) what i actually said and not jump to conclusions. Being triggered and combative is not the same as having confidence, it shows a lack of awareness and self control. Im not an American so whilst you might desperately want me to be the evil boogie man, when you grow up you'll realize there was no boogie man to begin with.

It's okay to be white. Have some friggen confidence snowflakes and don't let fear or shame be the guiding force in your life, especially not fear or shame of hurtings someone else's fragile feelings. Don't be an ahole, but you don't need to sit around the dinner table being afraid and worried. SJW's are the most pathetic warriors in history.

ThE sCIeNcE iS cLeAr!!! It's just how science works.. first its dark.. then its hazy.. and lastly its clear and we're done. Racism is bad mmmmkay.

@FreeMarketSecularist huh? Where is what? Are you trying to imply something ive said is racist? If so point it out clearly.

@tijan8948 i dont think you understand what a dog whistle is.. the OP comment is an insult not a dog whistle.. its equivalent to "what a self loathing fool" both self-hating and tool are common phrases, google them if you dont believe me
1
@FreeMarketSecularist why do people who can't hold a civil conversation with opposing views generally always resort to agressive insults with no substance? Some questions in life just have no simple answers i guess.

@tijan8948 yeah you're wrong

What a joke.. anytime you hear someone say "the science is clear" they aren't scientific minded at all. There absolutely is genes for white-ness, black-ness and asian-ness. Do a 23andme or ancestory like Pocahontas then explain how the results show that we're 99.9% the same genetically. We all came from "Africa"... lol did dinosaurs hail from "Africa" too?

Long Duk Dong thats because DNA studied biology not acting.. chromosomes are not a preference or choice.. you get what you get until the day you die. Nothing you say or do will ever change this, DNA DGAF about feelings or emotions and doesn't negotiate with social terrorists. Harsh i know. Don't shoot the messenger though, you got issues with DNA take it up with them directly :)

Long Duk Dong i was too, its not like actually think DNA is a creature with a biology degree ffs

A trillion frames per second yet scans a wall only 4 times a second. Its that second metric thats more important when you're travelling 60 miles per hour down a road. Biggest red flag is why is there no live demo? Wouldnt be due to the extraordinary amount of processing, storage and time taken to go from scanning a wall to turning it into fancy 3d animations would it? Pitching this as the future for self driving cars is delusional, am guessing the military turned the tech down and now they're looking for an investor. Cool tech, horribly flawed future application..
