Believe it or not, being locked up for 5-10 years is not mutually exclusive to "getting help" with mental health problems - in my country people with severe mental issues, such as Meely, are involuntarily put into dedicated mental health facilities. USA doesn't have a gun issue, it has a mental health issue and it's getting worse - letting the crazies roam the streets freely is neither an effective strategy nor a humane way to deal with the problem.. yet somehow Americans believe it is.

There is no requirement to exhaust all non-lethal options prior to the necessary use of lethal force. What did you do your dissertation on? Don't be shy ;)

Or maybe it's more like when the US occupied Afghanistan, another sovereign country, for 20 years in an effort to force regime change in one of the most embarrassing and costly missions ever carried out by the US military? The US should have just given Ukraine a couple of old B52's with some old inventory of nuclear warheads, frankly i'm starting to think the US don't actually want Ukraine to win too quickly... out of respect of course!

Not Ukraine, not Palestine, not Israel... provide assistance to them, sure, but not at the significant cost and detriment to the US. It's disheartening when illegal immigrants are given vastly better treatment and resources than actual citizens who are homeless, it's an utter disgrace when "assistance" includes funding the salaries of an entire foreign government.. are you aware of the percentage of the population in Ukraine that are government employees? Think what just 1 of the 60 billion dollars given to Ukraine could have been used for in San Francisco.

Let alone then complete the rest of the tasks listed in under 5 minutes. Perhaps she could when she joined the force but are existing officers re-evaluated for the JST years after joining or is it merely an entrance requirement? Maybe she works a desk position now, which is fine, but in terms of promoting the NYPD and improving their image, i don't think these not-so-subtle symbolic tokens of inclusivity and body positivity are the right way to go about it. It does the complete opposite in my mind - i look at this and go, well if thats who was selected for the dance team what type of officers are being selected for the SWAT team? Are these the best dancers they've got? Are they allocating the most suitable resources for the task at hand?

Money printer? Okay. If the gov burns all the money it holds yearly, last year it printed 1 billion for the budget, you saved 100k in your bank account. What happens to the value of your 100k if the gov prints 900 billion next year for roads? Is your 100k worth more, less or the same? It can only be one of those 3 so which is it, in this magical burn taxes annually nuanced world? Genuine question.

  37. "He was terrible his first term and he's worse so far this term." You"re entitle to your opinion but I'm really happy with how this second term is going. He has far exceeded my expectations. He's not perfect, nobody is, but he's kicking arse so far as i'm concerned and making up for previous missteps. The team he has assembled this time round is amazing, that was my main concern - he would bring in snakes again who would undermine him at every turn - but thankfully it seems he has learnt from past mistakes and actually feels like we have a leader again. I can understand why that may unsettle you and it's glorious.
