@l.w.paradis2108 Musk is operating on what the advertisers have told him If the ADL's actions are specifically at the bequest of these same advertisers then it should be a slam dunk for the ADL to prove they haven't defamed Twitter/X. Remember, if a statement is true it's not defamation, but if it's not and causes financial impact well...

@l.w.paradis2108 they might be, but i find the probability of the advertisers lying AND the ADL being able to use truth as a defence quite unlikely. That's not to say Musk will prevail or that it will even get to trial, i don't think either side has a strong case tbh.. you can tell 99 truths and still be charged with defamation over just one lie. IIRC the ADL pride themselves on their legal track record and have a whole blurb about defamation so should be interesting to see what happens either way... completely agree it aint a speech issue, it's a money/damages issue :)
