@l.w.paradis2108 you wake up one day and someone is knocking on your door. The person claims to be your sister, they have short grey hair, pale skin and looks 60+ years old but your sister has long blonde hair, is only 43 and has a dark tan - she just got back from a vacation in Europe. The person keeps knocking, they won't leave despite you telling them to and they demand to be let in as they have your medication - but you don't take any mediation. Would you be sweet and kind to this person, pretend they are your sister, let them in and take whatever medication they give you... or would you start to get frustrated, refuse to let them and be very suspicious of whatever medication they are trying to force you to take? Now here's the twist... that person IS your sister, she hasn't been to Europe in over 20 years, she visits you every day and that medication is for your heart and necessary to keep you alive. You must take it every day. That's dementia. It's not that you "forget" stuff, it's that the world around you is not how you "remember" it.. because the only memories you have are from decades ago but they are you most recent memories. I would not hire you as a baby sitter let alone a caregiver.

@causarumcognitio no, i politely asked you to explain your claim that "the article clearly proves he doesnt have dementia" when it doesn't even mention dementia. What you responded with was an incoherent ramblings about a tv interview and ad hominem attacks. Do you think claiming an article proves a negative, then backing this up with "you cant prove a negative" is a sign of intelligence and strengthens your original claim? It is possible to prove a negative, what i believe you're misappropriating is the premise that you can't prove the non-existence or absence of soemthing.. for example you can't prove aliens don't exist, only that they do exist.. but this often gets misconstrued as you're doing. On the flipside I can prove the article doesn't contain the word dementia with a simple word search. Thus proving a negative can be done depending upon the circumstances of the claim - if it's constrained or limited in scope it's absolutely possible. More to the point, the burden of proof is on you as you're the one who not only claimed a negative but literally stated it was proven. You didn't think this through, did you?
