  2. ​ @TTTrouble everything you've said is spot on, much easier to covertly sniff radio wave communication (over wire or air) than optical communication (over fibre or air). Sniffing is the easy part though, decoding and decrypting the data that has been sniffed is the hard part, injecting or MiTM is even harder.
