A decade ago i would agree, but today in 2024 where the definition of rac1sm has skewed to the point where there is a meaningful amount of people who believe it's not possible to be rac1st towards "wh1te" people as they are not deemed a minority or suppressed.. i disagree, it's a thing (as much as i hate it) Aff1rmative action is another term which is just blatant rac1sm by 90's definition but again, in 2024, a meaningful amount of people believe that is not rac1sm. Hence "reverse rac1sm" is as real as "aff1rmative action" not being "rac1sm". The only constant is change... (Mangled with 1's to bypass Rosie, the yt nanny bot who doesnt like public discourse)

@AaronNGray "to stop things going viral and overloaded" Yeah that must be it, blocked from search to ensure the video going viral doesn't go viral without their approval 😂

@uberkermit stop noticing things

@kayvee256 That's autism not nerdism. The internet has not always been like this, there was a time where "what are you gunna do, call the internet police?" was a common response to someone being offended. It's really only changed since about 2015/16 and the biggest factor is the explosion of social media. I miss the wild west of 90's internet.

Oh Gno!! Say it ain't so! Not the Gnome Shaman! Is nothing sacred anymore?!? 😭

We're not going way back machine, it's time to move forward...

This is my thought as well, there really isn't any "private" data in the archive since it's merely an archive of data that was once publicly accessible. I wouldn't even say it's about taking down certain data either, nor stealing sensitive or embarrassing data - as again it is or was public somewhere else - but the one thing IA did provide which AFAIK isn't provided anywhere else is a reputable and verifiable source for historical records. Eg person A claims some website had information about unicorns a year ago Person B calls them a liar, says some website never had information about unicorns and they can't prove it. If some wbesite doesn't currently have information about unicorns it would be very difficult to prove otherwise, i mean sure you might have your own archive copy or screenshots but these can't be independently nor easily verified. Normally, this is where IA comes to the rescue. Someone desperately wants not the information about unicorns to disappear - as again it was publicly accessible at some point - but rather for it to not be possible to verify that some site did in fact have information about unicorns and when. There are only a few entities i can think of that would want this to happen AND have the resources to make it happen in such a way for it to not be known.. as knowing this took place is just as revealing. What is also interesting is just how quiet reporting on this is.. normally such a large hack would be all over the news. This is no ordinary hack and i don't believe for 1 second those taking responsibility for it are the ones actually responsible at all...

@oz_jones dont tell them the joke pls, the response is golden 🤣

@mutantleg too soon junior 😛 (Sorry I couldnt resist, it's a fast&furious quote just in case you live under a rock and seems fitting given its down again)
2
@mutantleg don't jynx it again, geez, look what happened the last time you said that... 🙃 (But yep, it's up for me again now too - hopefully it stays up this time🤞 forth times a charm or something)

I'm hoping @microlinux is being sarcastic here, given that Linux is written in C. The same Linux that runs on practically all internet servers and Android phones. But hey, hindsight is 20/20. Who could've known of the potential money savings of 74 engineer salaries way back in 2019? Oh well, the whitehouse deciding Rust is the way forward makes a lot of sense when you think about the economy. Bidenomics is going to save everyone so much money and the planet!!!

None that have the same reputation and trust that what was archived on the day/time displayed is actually true

@kayvee256 autism is a medically recognised genetic condition which you are born with A nerd is typically a pejorative used to describe someone who is intelligent, introverted and socially awkward. Attempting to equate the two based on overlapping traits is incredibly foolish and tone deaf. You should get tested.

Julian Assange would disagree on your legal analysis, don't get me wrong i'm on the side of journalists but US law seems to be applied in a non-consistent manner these days. The US president is apparently too senile to stand trial for top secret documents kept in his garage but is perfectly okay for him to still be in control of nuclear weapons as president and running for re-election.. it's fine! It's not like there is any wars going on that the US is involved in atm.. oh wait.. 😮

A decade ago i would agree, but today in 2024 where the definition of racism has skewed to the point where there is a meaningful amount of people who believe it's not possible to be racist towards "white" people as they are not deemed a minority or suppressed.. i disagree, it's a thing. Affirmative action is another term which is just blatant racism by 90's definition but again, in 2024, a meaningful amount of people believe it is not racism. Hence "reverse racism" is as real as "affirmative action" not being "racism". The only constant is change...

@PandaRizzArg snowflake used to refer to frozen water. Gay used to mean cheerful and happy. Language evolves, when a large majority of people start using a word in a differing way new meanings and terms are created. If everyone started calling the sky green and the leaves on trees blue, guess what? The definitions for blue and green would be updated to reflect their common use. The only constant is change.
1
@PandaRizzArg is your fridge running? Well you better go catch it before it gets away. Is your mom smoking hot? Well you better throw some water on her before she bursts into flames. When someone uses the term "Reverse racism" it's a colloquialism not literal. It's not intended to be interpreted as being the opposite of discrimination but rather they are describing a distinct type of racism. Could a better word than reverse have been used to prefix the word racism? Sure, but that's not how the real world works kiddo - there are no rules, someone with rizz in their username should know this 😂

@btimbyindy a reverse proxy is still a proxy though, it's just operating in a way that is contrary to popular belief or common understanding. It's actually a perfect equivalence, albeit nerdy though.
1
@btimbyindy that's why it still has RACIST in it's name. The sides are just reversed. Perfect equivalence 😆

334gb for 3.6 millions files equates to an average file size of 93kb. 93kb per file for source code mah something don't add up here. There's either like 300gb of junk such as high resolution pictures of their logo and farmville sprites or it's like some sort of prank crafted using the assistance of AI or something. Or maybe aliens. Actually being from an alien source is more likely than finding anything of interest.. whoever leaked it would have already exposed the juicy bits if there was any.

Clayton Bigsby agrees with everything you said here and is proof that a black man can be the leader of a white supremacy group 😅
