Well which is it? Starlink is critical aid and Musk is a conman who has the US government over a barrel or Starlink is not critical aid and the US government can tell Musk to eff off like the Ukrainian official? Can't have it both ways.

@dnomyarnostaw massaging numbers is a term used in the business world, has nothing to do with guesstimates.. point is Thunderf00t is selecting numbers to arrive at a desired result, just as Musk did with the submission to the US government. Both of them skewed things in their favor to suit their objective, this entire video is essentially TF doing the exact thing he is criticizing Musk of doing - it's not like TF couldn't have actually multiplied by 12 instead of 10, especially when its 450 vs 540... it was intentional to fit the narrative better.

@dnomyarnostaw not when you are trying to arrive at a total cost of $400 million - as thats the figure given by Musk and the foundation of TF's critique in this video, if you missed it watch from timestamp 3:18 By rounding down, TF is massaging his exaggerated napkin maths in his favor, ie 450 is "about" 400 whereas 540 is not and high enough a counter argument could be made. Perhaps you dont possess this level of attention to detail, but i can assure you TF and his colleagues do, thats the amusing irony of videos like this.... and this specific OP's remark.
