I'm sure you critique Bezos, Boeing and even NASA thenselves for being even further behind their estimated schedules than Musk yeah? @Glenhh why haven't Boeing managed to complete a successful crewed mission to AND from the ISS yet? Why are those 2 stranded astronauts going to be returning to earth in a Crew Dragon capsule made by Space X instead of a Starliner capsule made by Boeing? 🤔 I know which one i'd trust with my life, i'm fairly sure CHL does too, do you? @SciHeartJourney if i can only take a single parachute (no reserve) with me for a skydive... i'm choosing a previously used one over a brand-new first-time use one, each and every time, absolutely, no questions, without a doubt, hands down. Same with scuba equipment, planes, abseiling equipment and so on.

@randycampbell6307 i'll let NASA know they don't need that Crew Dragon capsule it was carrying to rescue those 2 astronauts because randycampbell said it's not needed. I'm sure they'll be super happy and agree with you! Those astronauts got themselves into that predicament, they can figure out a way home all by themselves and boeing! Aint that right randycampbell?

@randycampbell6307 lol thats some serious saltiness you got there. Crew Dragon didn't have to abandon 2 astronauts and have them return to earth using a competitors product. If NASA wanted to have control over the development of the product and own the intellectual property they could pay Space X accordingly - the contract has milestones they need to reach but that's it. Boeing were going to be in the only ones with a contract - it was only the influence and cautious thinking of the head of human exploration in NASA who managed to convince them to have a competitor also develop a capsule as a backup and to keep Boeing honest on costs. Boy oh boy did that turn out to be a good idea as the backup has become the primary. Not only that but Boeing are now running at a loss - you can bet if this was NASA's only option they'd just have to cover that cost blowout, but with Space X having a fully functional product they don't need to give Boeing anything extra. The results speak for themselves. If you're having to bring up Russia in order to criticize Space X you've lost the plot my friend. Stay salty! 👍✌️

@ambralemon literal fraud? Oh my! The government should probably do something about that ASAP and stop Musk from launching a rescue mission for those 2 astronauts stranded by boeing. They can wait, this is taxpayer money after all and i certainly dont want taxpayer money going to literal fraud no matter how many lives are at risk! 3 billion would buy a lot of ammunition for Ukraine and Israel

@ggir9979 do you know what a tender is? Besides a piece of succulent chicken. Space x isnt handed money to develop anything, they have to compete im a tender process to win fixed-price contracts with specific deliverables. If things go over budget they don't get to ask for money, and if they weren't delivering on past commitments you think they'd keep being awarded new contracts? You thinking NASA are paying royalties for every falcon 9 launch is adorable, i sure hope they pay an additional royalty for rescuing those astronauts Boeing stranded up there.. Boeing should patent that before Blue Origin steal their IP 😅

@orbatos even if i pretend everything you said is true, how is space x ahead of boeing to develop a crew capsule? Boeing were awarded a 4.2b contract first, space x was awarded a 2.6b contract after Gerstenmaier (head engineer of human exploration program for NASA) convinced the government they should have a competitor to boeing just in case. Now the immediate answer would be, well Musk just hired better people than boeing and it's those people doing all the hard work. Okay, cool, but how did Musk know which people were better or the best compared to boeing? Your answer to that could be Luck? He just happened to get lucky in a coin toss when selecting candidates for the job. Okay, cool, if that's the case why hasn't boeing managed to lure these worlds best engineers to either return or work for them - especially as they were awarded more money they could surely match or beat Musk on pay, and if Musk is just a bafoon without any knowledge as you claim, not only that but then taking all the credit for the hard work of others.. surely they would jump ship yeah? But here is the kicker, Musk is the head of space x, even if he didn't own the company that in itself is an achievement. A huge one. That alone is undeniable and upsets you, attacking me or Musk may make you feel better about yourself but it won't change the simple fact that Musk is the head of space x - the company that will rescue the 2 astronauts that boeing stranded on the ISS on their very first crewed Starliner mission to the ISS. Oof.

@orbatos both space x and boeing only get paid when they achieve certain milestones. Call it whatever you want, it changes nothing! The 2.6b awarded to space x wasnt handed to them up front, just as the 4.2b award to boeing wasn't handed to them up front. TF doesnt mention boeing though does he, yknow why? Cause they are even further behind than space x - they told NASA they could have Starliner fully operational by 2015! They completed their first crewed mission to the ISS a few months ago which went swimmingly didnt it 🤣

And that Space X has been transporting astronauts and cosmonauts for a while now, yet despite having a head start, that was Boeing's first attempt at a manned mission. If you don't understand the apples to apples comparison of this, and that any criticism regarding Space X being a behind schedule or the amount of money they are receiving from the government is pale in comparison to Boeing - i cannot make it any more obvious. If your competitor was beating you by delivering their capsule sooner and cheaper than yours, you don't see the relevance? I bring up his father as this obsession with Musk correlates to his father passing away. It's not a question for you, it's not a question i even seek an answer for - it's merely a question for him to reflect on. Again, if you don't comprehend this simple and succinct question i cannot make it any more obvious.

The one made by Space X is called Crew Dragon and has been transporting humans for many missions and months now. They are well ahead of Boeing - both in terms of how long it took and how much it cost. The one made by Boeing is called Starliner and we saw how their first ever manned mission went - they've taken far longer and now running at loss as they've burnt through the money allocated so far. I can't believe you're so desperate to dislike Musk and Space X that you're taking the side of Boeing - the ones who have planes with doors flying off mid flight due to them focusing on shareholders rather than engineering excellence. Good grief, i hope you remember this the next time you board a Boeing 747 passenger plane.
