Anyone know what "charged with a 308" actually means? Best i can find is the police job/priority code 308 which is "offender being held", which matches the context but that's not a charge?!

@likeablecloud2454 my take is the officer was trying to sound more knowledgeable than he actually was and upon being called out about it, realized he shouldn't have. IE he either: 1) knew exactly what a 308 was but didnt want to say it because it would of revealed it was a stupid thing to say in the first place and clearly an intimidation tactic; or 3) had no idea what a 308 was but overheard his partner radio in a "308 in progress" and thought it was like other 3xx codes such as 302 (break and enter) so could be used in that manner for intimidation In either situation that's poor form by a police officer IMO. Highly unlikely to be fake, it's too subtle if faking poor policing was the aim.

@DarthQuaint context being: cop A radios in a 308 for the smoker (makes sense) cop B overhears and uses 308 to try intimidate Ryan (doesnt make sense)
