  1. I found the article LZ wrote in the Los Angeles Times concerning Will Smith slapping Chris Rock both disgusting and ridiculous. You can never justify violence, saying that you understand is excusing it. The only thing you should understand about the violent act is the physical mechanics of the action. Talking about the history of black women and their hair as a motivation for Will's criminal thuggish behavior is to reduce black people to unruly children that you can't take anyplace nice. I'm almost hoping that Chris would have Will arrested to show the many young people in the community that look up to Will, your actions have consequences.
