I think that at some point in the future all vehicles on the road will be required by law to be self-driving and that they all will communicate with each so that what one does will affect the actions of each other. When one vehicle moves into the path of another the other will sense what is happening and will be able to counter the move in the safest possible way.

  2. This is just another way of limiting people's freedom and autonomy in the name of a "good cause".
