  25.  @johnsagar1152  the US was not conducting major military activities in Afghanistan for 20 years. It had kicked out the Taliban government in a relatively short period of time and was fighting against an insurgency at a much lower level of activity and was playing a mainly supportive role. The Russians are fighting the Ukrainians head to head and throwing everything short of nukes at them. The Russians are fighting on their border.

Russia is fighting a war on their border, their is no excuse for them to be conducting major military operations after six months, other than complete incompetence.

  43.  @Chris-jt4pl  NATO is a voluntary organization that a country has to work very hard to be a part of. It is not an invading power that takes over countries. If anyone caused NATO to expand it was Russia through its aggressive behavior towards its neighbors.
