You are missing out a VERY big part, the things inside the buffer,, when the buffer travels backwards, and bottom out, its only the weight of the bolt and buffer you feel, the things inside are free flying, then when the bolt start mowing forewards, they hit the buffer, and that deley the buffer, , slowing down the full auto rate, when the bolt is closing, and MIGHT bounce back, the things inside again comes slaming forwards, and make sure there is no bounce back,,
