Indeed so, and those returning to their communities after serving their sentences seem not to suffer much ostracisation. Cooper's announcement is Labour's denial of a proper enquiry, at which people may be compeIIed to give evidence, and kicking this embarrassing issue for them into the long grass. They are deeply concerned about the nature and the extent of any maIfeasance by members of their party that a fuIl enquiry may reveal and are desperate to continue covering it up. It would seem that Brad ford may be one of the places not selected for a Iocal enquiry and it is likely that what has emerged from previous investigations into Rot her ham would only amount to a fraction of what has happened in Brad ford.
17
And, "How would you like your gathering to be policed?" was a question asked by a senior police officer of the leaders of a certain community around the same time. Sadly, this "cancer" has now reached stage 4.
17
An excellent speech. Mr. Tice is gaining gravitas all the time and I am gaining confidence in his leadership. We need to see him on mainstream media more, however, and this may be more easily said than done.
17
All in line with Blair's 1997 government stating a wish to rub the right's nose in diversity. Re the video, sadly, a very similar decline is taking place in all our major towns and cities. The day is fast approaching when the British identity we have rightly been so proud of will no longer exist.
17
Me too and I share that hope, though it may take a couple of elections before it happens. To those who say my vote for Reform will be "wasted", I say that, having lived in the Leeds East constituency a long time, I have been wasting my vote for more years than I care to remember. I used to vote Tory but will not do so again in the foreseeable future. I am well past caring what damage a large vote for Reform will do to the Tories. They can go to hell. In an extended interview such as this, Mr. Tice demonstrates both credibility and gravitas. It is a great pity, however, that our mainstream media will, in their biased and partial support for our dreadful status quo, never show anything similar and allow his message to reach a much bigger audience.
16
We are certainly well on the way to being replaced. Re the video, sadly, a very similar decline is taking place in all our major towns and cities. The day is fast approaching when the British identity we have rightly been so proud of will no longer exist.
16
That was very perceptive of him. Of course the people responsible for this disaster and the promotion of its causes are not going to acknowledge it or report on it. What do we expect from them? Honesty?
15
Yes, Cooper portrayed in profile, rather akin to a monarch on a coin or a postage stamp, speaks volumes. Leading figures in other regimes, of course, had themselves portrayed everywhere. One only has to think of previous leaders of Russia, China, Iraq etc.. What price a portrait of Starmer on every street corner soon? The replacement of a portrait of Nelson by one of Cooper is the substitution of a national embarrassment for a national hero.
15
Yes, whatever one thinks of Mr. "Robinson", the treatment meted out to him shows that two tier policing in the UK is now a fact. Senior police officers are a disgrace to their uniform.
14
I've already seen this interview and won't submit myself to the torture of watching it again. Listening to someone shouting demented opinions, which is all this harridan does, is not good for the blood pressure.
14
Long gone, to concentrate on other battles they have some chance of winning, hopefully. Sadly, the vast majority of the London mayoral electorate vote along "cultural" lines, rather than upon day to issues, such as the buses and trains running on time (if they are running at all, that is). Consequently, there is no candidate on earth who could unseat Khan or, if he were not a candidate, any other politician of a similar stripe.
14
No, she didn't. You just made that up or confused it with "Defender of the Faith". Anyway, of course, this is still going on. The perpetrators are part of a now even larger and ever growing community that must never be offended and our authorities are even more determined to ensure they never are. The policing of the seemingly interminable weekly marches in London should be evidence enough of that.
14
Before that, we need the authorities to acknowledge the problem and not try to deflect from the motivations of those who carry out these acts. The suspect is from a reIigion that condones Iying in the furtherance of its aims (the practice is known as "t a q i y y a"). Claims as to the suspect’s attitude towards certain issues should be taken with a pinch of salt. This latest incident has all the haIImarks of a "sIeeper ceII" operation aided by German government negIigence and duplicity and European Iegacy media is being its usual disingenuous self over this matter.
14
Not I. Re the video, all religion is based upon denial of reality but the one under discussion encompasses oppression and intolerance, often violently so. On reflection, however, it is at about the same stage of its development as Christianity was during the Inquisition. Perhaps, in about 900 years, the problem will have disappeared.
14
Sadly, a very similar decline is taking place in all our major towns and cities. The day is fast approaching when the British identity we have rightly been so proud of will no longer exist.
13
As a slightly younger version of yourself, I agree wholeheartedly with those sentiments and appreciate your good use of grammar and impeccable spelling, which are rarely to be found in anyone under the age of 50. I would add that it is sickening how our legacy media collude with incompetent and corrupt governments over deflection from the real issues of concern surrounding horrendous cases such as this. That the whole trial, in which the suspect faced a number of serious charges, would have collapsed through the release of information related to two of the relatively minor charges, is clearly nonsense and obviously an attempt by Starmer to cover up his, and his sinister government's failings, over the release of information in this matter.
13
Mr. Bell embodies the old saying, "There are none so blind as those who WILL not see". He is so steeped in the BBC that he can accept no criticism of it when, clearly, it has been in breach of its charter regarding impartiality for decades.
13
If you mean the one proposed for Remembrance Day that threatens to disrupt acts of remembrance, of course It should, but will it? I doubt it very much. We now have a police force that applies different standards of policing to different groups of people. This is another stage on our journey to Hell in a hand cart, a journey at the end of which, the Renaissance and the Enlightenment will have counted for nothing and replaced by a new Dark Age that will see a return to mediaeval values of intolerance enforced by terror, organised superstition and ignorance.
13
Me neither. With this leaked report, the Home Office continues to prove its unfitness for purpose, and then some. That the perfectly rational view that we have non single stratum law enforcement and judicial systems should be regarded as an extreme, right wing view speaks volumes regarding the nature of our civil service and government statements rejecting the report ring very hollow. Free speech has passed away. Welcome to Starmer’s Britain.
13
I agree, but sadly, the vast majority of the London mayoral electorate vote along "cultural" lines, rather than upon day to issues, such as the buses and trains running on time (if they are running at all, that is). Consequently, there is no candidate on earth who could unseat Khan or, if he were not a candidate, any other politician of a similar stripe.
13
Some chap called Powell predicted this situation more than fifty years ago. For many of those wise enough not to trust Labour in government and who did not vote for them, these attacks on free speech will come as no surprise, other than perhaps their speed and their extent. At this rate, before very long, we will have lost many of our hard won freedoms.
12
@victory2115 Yes, in my constituency of Leeds East, people would vote in a donkey if it were wearing a red rosette and, actually, would be much better represented if they did.
12
Indeed so. Compare and contrast his performances in interview with those of the mendacious, iIl tempered automaton we now have as PM.
12
So true and how depressing for our future. Our politicians have much to answer for their behaviour over the last quarter century.
12
A worryingly clear exposition of the madness that has taken hold amongst senior people in our institutions, including the police service and of the type of subversive organisations behind it. Dr. Randall seems a very reasonable fellow and gave the impression he was not expecting a great deal of support from the Archbishop of Canterbury. Sadly, I expect this will prove to be the case.
12
I agree, and whilst Mr. Farage has a platform to speak on such things, he will be of more benefit to the campaign than were he to stand as an MP, for which he would need to concentrate his efforts within a constituency, and his national influence would be very much diluted. As for electing Reform UK now, I reckon that success, for Reform UK, would be to become the third largest party at Westminster. Re the video, the disgraceful events in Brussels the other day are but a foretaste of what life will be like for EU citizens if the unelected proto-phashists (deliberate misspelling) taking ever increasing control over all aspects of their lives are not stopped in their tracks, and soon.
12
Yes, it seems very significant that widespread, institutional misogyny, the sort embedded and given religious force, within certain communities seems not to fall within the scope of Cooper's proposals.
12
Leeds is not far behind. Of course the people responsible for this disaster and the promotion of its causes are not going to acknowledge it or report on it. What do we expect from them? Honesty?
12
(Another attempt at a reply so, with an "edit" or two, here goes...). Cooper's announcement is Labour's denial of a proper enquiry, at which people may be compeIIed to give evidence, and kicking this embarrassing issue for them into the long grass. I'm happy for Mr. Farage to carry on with what he is doing. If he were to stand as a candidate, his national influence would be diluted in the crucial last few weeks of an election campaign. Anyway, an excellent speech. Mr. Tice is gaining gravitas all the time and I am gaining confidence in his leadership. We need to see him on mainstream media more, however, and this may be more easily said than done.
11
@nockianlifter661 I shall vote for Reform. If my vote turns out to be "wasted", according to some, so what? Living in the constituency of Leeds East, I have been wasting my vote for more years than I care to remember.
11
The right decision by Mr. Farage, I reckon. He will be of much greater assistance to Reform's cause campaigning throughout the country than in a single constituency. Anyway, with Brexit and the exposure of the de-banking scandal, he has more than earned the right to do exactly as he pleases. Those who condemn the decision seem really not to have thought things through. I agree, however, that Reform UK should put immigration at the front and centre of their election campaign.
11
Nobody could more deserve such an honour. Ms. Widdicombe deserves far more than an "MBE" at the end of her name!
11

I agree and thank you for your service. My father, a WWII war veteran who passed away recently would be appalled at what has happened to the country he put his life on the line for. I agree with what you say about Starmer. He is a proven liar and hypocrite. We have seen Harehills (close to where I live) and we have now seen Southport, Hartlepool and London, where many people were arrested seemingly at random and without provocation. Two tier policing in the UK is a fact. The establishment would have demanded many arrests at the Downing Street protest for the purposes of discrediting the growing movement against them and we saw how the police went about their "duty". Thanks to our dishonest and incompetent politicians, the UK is "going to hell in a hand cart".

Because, for them to be challenged on their actual merits and capacities for doing the job, would invite accusations of you know what. Sadly, the vast majority of the London mayoral electorate vote along "cultural" lines, rather than upon day to issues, such as the buses and trains running on time (if they are running at all, that is). @Raven44453 For some, insomniacs for example, I would recommend a Starmer interview. The mendacity and hypocrisy are matched only by the tedium.
11
I fully agree and Reform would seem to be that party. In an extended interview such as this, Mr. Tice demonstrates both credibility and gravitas. It is a great pity, however, that our mainstream media will, in their biased and partial support for our dreadful status quo, never show anything similar and allow his message to reach a much bigger audience.

She was entirely correct. Of course the people responsible for this disaster and the promotion of its causes are not going to acknowledge it or report on it. What do we expect from them? Honesty?

I cancelled my TV licence long ago, mostly due to the propaganda it was peddling. Of course the people responsible for this disaster and the promotion of its causes (the BBC etc.) are not going to acknowledge it or report on it. What do we expect from them? Honesty?

Indeed, the continuation of Blair's 1997 government stating a wish to rub the right's nose in diversity. Re the video, sadly, a very similar decline is taking place in all our major towns and cities. @unravel3416 Next time, don't let them in. In fact, don't even engage with them.

I hope Mr. Heydel-Mankoo was not suggesting that the BBC should be funded out of general taxation. Were this to happen, the public money handed to the BBC on a plate would be more guaranteed than it is now and the BBC would become even more entrenched in its political bias, the dire standard of its programme making and its general profligacy, secure in the knowledge that there was no threat to its income.
9
I agree. Politicisation of our judicial system goes all the way from the magistrates courts to Blair's creation, the Supreme Court. The miscarriage of justice in Mr. Fox's case follows hard on the heels of another, when a man who went on the rampage and murdered three innocent people and attempted to murder three others was allowed to plead guilty to manslaughter regarding the more serious offences. Consequently, he will spend an indeterminately long time in relative comfort in a secure hospital instead of in a mainstream prison. What kind of a justice system is it that allows someone to admit that, in the space of a couple of hours, he deliberately tried to kill those that he failed to kill but not those that he did kill? The law is an ass. I include the emoticon because of the theory doing the rounds that, to do so, may foil the algorithm. 🤣
9
Inevitably, the demographic we are talking about has reached a size and strength where it thinks it may start to throw its weight about. We should not be surprised at this, nor at the response from our useless, cowardly politicians. I include the emoticon because of the theory doing the rounds that, to do so, may foil the algorithm. 🤣

That has already happened to thousands upon thousands of young females of the same colour without consequence for many of the perpetrators.
