I think that everything everywhere all at once, highlights the inherent flaw in the metamodern perspective. It essentially says that nihilism is rational and correct but then decides that values are nice and you'd prefer to have it values for just going to pretend that you haven't observed that there is no basis for your values. It's cognitive dissonance presented as a virtue. Little moment that is supposed to be triumphant and everything everywhere all at once just rings hollow. Another good example is the little scene in A beautiful mind where he concludes its all okay because he "believes in assigning value to things." . The problem is he knows but he doesn't believe in inherent value and he's admitting that his values are subjective and arbitrary and that he doesn't value subjective values. It's a recursive problem. To paraphrase a metamodern cartoon - that's just nihilism with extra steps. It's ultimately unsatisfying.
