  1. In fairness, the stuff at 5 minutes in or so, is very standard warranty language. It is not fair to portray that as an insidious ploy for the purposes of hiding skullduggery. Manufacturers virtually all have a clause to that effect, because they don't want to be obligated to fix stuff that you screwed up. Your harddrive doesn't have a warranty void sticker on it, because they are hiding a worse hard drive inside. They have the sticker to prove that you mucked it up. So same here. There's plenty of legitimate things to bash them on, but this isn't one of them. -- business lawyer who does contracts and things like warranty clauses for a living.
