And that gun is porous and crummy. Additive is neat, but CNC milling and lathe is still the way to go and will be for a very long time. Even with additive, most critical surfaces will need to be trued up with conventional machining to have a hope of running smoothly. Hobby 5 axis CNC adequate to machine a pistol would set you back around $800 + software in the current market. You could make do with wimpier setups in the $400 range, but the hassle factor goes way up.

skm1091 yes. That gun was overbuilt and they were asking about $250 k for it. It worked, but it surely took a lot of tries and probably a lot of cleanup to make it work. Watch the recent forgotten weapons video with Hudson. The same company printed their prototype too. It is a way to make a rough one off, but the metal behaves more like cast iron than machined steel.
