  1. Or a way to get a lot of gas in the face. IMO Gas delayed makes sense for both, and has been done in pistols. For shotties, it could make even more sense, since the key challenge with making a shot gun run is the huge variability in the ammo, primarily in gas pressure and volume, but also dimensional and mass. One of the benefits of gas delay is that the delaying force is directly proportional to the cycling force, since an increase in gas volume/pressure is happening on both sides.
