Comments by "GunFun ZS" (@GunFunZS) on "Slow Motion: Colt All-American 2000" video.
There is a series of detective novels by Sue Grafton. She makes a big deal throughout most of them that the protagonist carries a Colt 2000, because it is the best and she is serious about proficiency. I guess her fans must have harped on it a lot, because part way through the series the talk changes and a critical plot point is when the protagonist's Colt 2000 craps out on her. I would be willing to bet that the author was not a gun user and simply read a bunch of gun rags about the time she started the series, and took all the marketing hype at face value.

I am sure it was gun rags, the descriptions of the advantages sounded as though she pulled lines straight from guns & ammo.

Ian- have you got a chance to compare the rotating barrel mechanism on this to the beretta Px4 series? You mentioned that this design is typically more accurate... How many other examples are there?

I just watched your video on the Obregon. I don't know how I missed that. Very interesting gun.

Someone was just reccomending I check that out. The 10mm version looks appealing.

I'm not sure if I would love or hate that slide release feature. I did look into the Gp6, as that was how I was introduced to the product, from a happy owner. In general I would want a more popular firearm for parts support. However, there are not many options for those of us who would like a 10mm pistol with decent capacity, that wasn't drawn with only a ruler.

Right. The same is said for fixed barrel guns or linear moving barrels ala M9. I haven't noticed a significant difference, but maybe someone with a ransom rest can.
