  1. It is interesting to me how straight the shell goes into the chamber. Most other autoloaders can be seen to richochet up and down as it is jostled into chamber rather than such a linear smooth push.

  3. Nearly the same is a relative term. Both are faster than a pump. I believe I could outrun an auto 5 variant with my trigger finger, but I could not on a modern semi. Perhaps you could calculate the cycle time from this video, but basically assume a person with a quick trigger finger can pull 8-9 times a second. Average is 5-6. If the gun takes longer than 0.125 or so seconds, a person can probably out run it. Handling recoil is another matter.

  5. I believe the cycle times of modern guns are about twice as fast. You can really feel the parts moving. I'm pretty sure I could work the trigger too fast if I tried. Plenty fast enough for a follow up shot on a bird though.
