Another series I would like to see that he is specially qualified for would be: The gun that should have been chosen. A series on firearms, calibers, etc that were superior to the competition that was ultimately adopted in trials. i.e. .280 British, vs 7.62x51. This series could be a bit more subjective, as those choices are always judgement calls, and there is no consensus on the decisions even with 60 years of debate. I am sure Ian would be able to articulate his opinions and reasoning well. For instance, I think he has shown that the STG 44 would have been a more practical weapon than the FAL for NATO to adopt and improve.
