A minor point of interest 3.5mm shot would be quite large birdshot, close to BB.

For the Germans, you would think one of those luger or mauser holsters that works as a stock would be a great pilot's brush gun. I've been wanting a modern version for a long time, but NFA...

and 11 months a[[roval time, restrictions in various states. Requirements to travel with papers, a good trust if you have even a modicum of sense.... NFA is more than just a few hundred dollars. As for range? There are plenty of pistols that can be accurate to 150 M plus if you can hold them steady. A rifle stock does that. Quite a few people use scoped pistols with bipods, etc for hunting in those ranges for big game even. It all depends on the pistol and caliber choice. IMO, you don't need that much range for the bailout survival gun application. I'd like to see something like that made for the FH FiveSeven. It would be plenty powerful enough for a foraging tool, and is very weight and space efficient. Accurate? Plenty. Fairly quiet too, with a can. There's the kit I would make for pilots. Plastic holster that doubles as a stock, which also holds a lightweight TI suppressor. 3-4 magazines would be plenty of ammo too. All in about the space of a cigar box. No this would not be the ideal bear gun, or first choice for a firefight... But i'd rather have 21 shots of 5.7 than a break action single shot .308, if people were shooting at me from moderate range.

Skip the .22 stuff. The weight of the conversion kit would match a couple mags of 9mm. 147 grain 9mm would do the colibri job with the can, and still work for other chores. Also, I think they could dovetail the backstrap rather than use a wraparound.- Like the High powers, etc.

They will keep the M9. Every other week one guy in some branch says they want something new, and the people who don't like whatever we have at the moment act as if that is the final word. The blunt facts are: the government owns a lot of m9s, it would cost a lot of money to replace them, and they work fine. any real problems they have ever had were solved by new mags and a new locking block. Yes modern guns are lighter, and I do think .40 would be a better choice for silly hague compliance, but the military has more cons than pros for a drastic change. Big institutions always move slowly.

Do you know how many times they have done requests for submissions and then just decided to stick with what they have?
