  2. Re the discussion at the 18 minute mark on suppressor design. Ian's premise that given a fixed volume, concentric is capable of being quiter is true. I think it misses the thinking behind the offset designs. As he said, they don't disturb the profile of the gun or the sights as much and look distinctive. However the main design advantage is being able to add more volume than one could get away with in a concentric design before the drawbacks of volume increase. It's like free volume out of your sight line. So which apples to apples? Most sound reduction per constant volume, or Most sound reduction before the sight picture and length get stupid.
