@DowntownDeuce22 yup, old buildings had more mass and redundant structure. there are reasons there are still roman buildings standing but I bet nothing we build today will last more than about a century. it's the same reason russian things like the AK47 and MIG are so durrable, they were designed on a peice of paper as opposed to a computer that can calculate the exact structual integerty required to build a structure that can stand on it's own while using the least materials possible so cut costs.

@DowntownDeuce22 yup, I don't think anyone believes a tower is just going to implode because something ran into it, the only way that makes sense is if it was built within stingently strict tolerances allowing that to happen... which older structures weren't.

@DowntownDeuce22 well seeing as you mentioned a pyramid I guess you are aware of a building that can withstand that... not to mention most military installations are built to withstand that sort of stress... it's more about building things exactly as strong as they need to be really, it's always a good idea to over-engineer things within reason.
