  2. dogs do have human-like emotions... you must either not have a dog or not pay attention. there's no reason for a dog to pull someone across a warzone while being shot at other than a pure emotional sense of kinship. no living thing just does that for food or some arbitrary reward. idc if "the dog doesn't know what a gun is"... by that logic it's all scary and unnatural and the natural response would be to run.
