@zsfekete5211 to jail... at least here. mental hospitals were phased out years ago... now they do the whole "community care" BS and give people drugs unless they break the law then they send them to jail. there are no "mental hospitals" anymore.

@yeetghostrat more or less that's how it works, ya. you can say "I want to kill every living person I see but have no plans to do so" and they'll do nothing at all... otherwise that's a threat and you'd be arrested. there's no "mental hospital" even if you plead insanity, you just go to jail.
