good call. I hear people talking about this a lot and never thought about it since I learned to use a grinder from my father who always had it set up properly. I've never felt like I've been unable to control an angle grinder, when set up and used properly the direction of force and your grip line up to form a triangle with the tool which is very stable.

@EdwardMcClung the problem is the grinders come like that. they should have a little plastic disk on the spindle with a label that says something like "WARNING: GRINDER IMPROPERLY SET UP FOR SHIPPING; REFER TO MANUAL TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!" then in order to use the tool you'd have to see it.

again probably from the 80s... astroturf wasn't really a thing until at least the 70s and that grease gun in the other video is the same period. also you can still buy square nails and it looked pretty regular for "hand forged", were there hammer marks on it?
