@peterparker6584 the materials in the halifax explosion were properly stored, the boat captains just decided to play a game of chicken with their floating bombs...

@savagex466-qt1io the halifax explosion was a ship way out in the harbor... when it exploded it made a crater in the lake bed and leveled the entire harbor front and blocks inland. there were and still are to this day pieces of solid iron and steel wrapped around trees miles from the blast. it was the largest man made explosion until nuclear bombs.
